History of Vadapalli Temple
The Vadapalli Sri Venkateswara Temple was built in 1759 by a merchant named Pinapotu Gajendrudu. He donated land and ornaments to rebuild the temple after it was damaged by floods. Local stories say that the temple’s history goes back to the Dvapara Yuga, and it is believed that Sage Narada installed the swayambhu idol of Lord Venkateswara here. The main deity, called Kalyana Venkateshwara, is carved from sandalwood, which makes it very special and sacred.

The Vadapalli Temple Brahmotsavam is a big 10-day festival held in June–July. During this festival, there are daily vahana sevas, longer darshan hours from 6 AM to 9 PM, Sahasra Deepotsavam, a Saturday mela, and Nithya Kalyanotsavam rituals. The festival ends with the special Chakrasnanam ceremony.
