When I first went to Chennai and saw the architecture of Arulmigu Sri Parthasarathyswamy Temple, I was amazed because This temple architecture is a great example of Dravidian- style architecture. It was first built by the Pallavas and later made bigger by the Chola and Vijayanagara kings. The temple has tall gateway towers with carvings of mythological figures. It also has many hall areas and small shrines for different forms of Lord Vishnu, such as Rama, Krishna, Narasimha, Ranganatha, and Varadaraja. The main shrine shows Krishna as Parthasarathy, the charioteer of Arjuna, with a moustache and a conch, which is very unique. The temple also has a big tank with five holy wells, which adds beauty and religious value to the place.

The Arulmigu Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Temple celebrates many festivals during the year, following Vaishnavite traditions. The 10-day Brahmotsavam in Chithirai (April–May) has flag hoisting, processions, and rides on different vahanams. In Vaikasi (May–June), the temple celebrates Vasantha Utsavam and Gajendra Varadar Utsavam. In Masi (Feb–March), the Theppam (Float) festival is held, where the deity is taken on a colourful float in the temple tank.
